The Heyman Law Firm is pleased to announce that Simon Penning has joined the firm as a Principal. Simon is an experienced attorney with a diverse background representing developers, businesses, public entities, and insurers in complex commercial, real-estate, and coverage matters. Raised in Baltimore and licensed in Maryland and Louisiana, he brings substantial experience from both the public and private sectors, including prior roles as Counsel to the Board of Municipal and Zoning Appeals and Assistant City Solicitor for Baltimore City, as well as at a nationally recognized litigation firm in New Orleans. His practice includes real estate (including zoning, code enforcement, and property-related disputes), commercial litigation, and insurance coverage.
Simon is a graduate of the Friends School, Tufts University, and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, playing golf, and practicing guitar.
