Biography

Simon Penning is a Principal at the Heyman Law Firm and an experienced attorney with a diverse background representing insurers, businesses, developers, and public entities in complex real estate, land use, business, and insurance coverage litigation. Raised in Baltimore and licensed in Maryland and Louisiana, he brings substantial experience from both the public and private sectors, including prior roles as Counsel to the Board of Municipal and Zoning Appeals and as an Assistant City Solicitor, as well as at a nationally recognized litigation firm in New Orleans. His practice includes real estate litigation, business litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and fiduciary litigation.

Simon is a graduate of the Friends School, Tufts University and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, playing golf, and practicing guitar.
